I could cry ... oh, wait. I'm actually crying.
I don't have a cash card anymore. And it will take weeks before I get it back and all I have left on my wallet are five euros. I also have nothing but instant soup left in my cupboard.
You ask why this is?
Well, it started with me me getting confused by the bank terminal once again and forgetting my cash card in it - again. I noticed this tuesday evening last week and not sure if I really had forgotten my cash card in the terminal I called the hotline and got my card disabled.
Next day I got the card back and the lady at the counter in the bank told me I had to wait for three days until I could use my card again. She told me nothing else.
Thing is, I used my card at the ATM today and it kept my card. Apparently the lady had been a lying bitch who lies and forgot to tell my home bank that I got my card back and they could enable it again.
So now I need to travel back home - preferably not at a weekend, because then my home bank is closed - to get my card again which will be send there. I can not get it back here, where it is safely guarded inside an ATM.
To go next weekend would be useless since the card probably won't have been send until then.
I can't get it the friday after that because I have my Colm Toíbín-seminar and it's only four days, so I can't miss one out of four days.
Which means I will get my card back earliest June 8 and have to borrow money until then.
And I still have to tell my parents about my screw-up who brought this all along.
In conclusion: Scotty, beam me up.
PS: I just remembered that I wanted to buy furniture this weekend. Now I laugh hysterically and cry at the same time. Oh, universe, what did I do to deserve this?

Date: 26 May 2009 17:34 (UTC)I DID! Thank you so much! The bag is adorable-- I like the colors a lot. And our dorm doors are magnetic, so, as you can imagine, I had lots of fun with those magnets. :D (I was waiting to write you a nice hand-written thank you note, but as you know, the best intentions sometimes come to nothing... oops)
