I once heard that wise saying that you can't go wrong in believing in God, because if you keep to the Ten Commandments you will be a nice person, morally speaking. And if God turns out to not exist, you'll still have lived a life under the rule of 'do no harm' -- which is a pretty decent goal for a life, I think.
Anyway, you all know that I believe in God (at least you should if you read the text on the right side of my journal) ... not necessarily the God pictured in the Bible, because in my opinion it's been written by humans with all their flaws and tendency to color reality the way they like it, but I'm a firm believer that something inspired these people to write down their experiences. And to finally answer this question, no, I don't believe that God has any interest in predestinating my life. What would be the point with Adam and Eve then? However, I do tend to believe that there are certain points in life mapped out for each of us that we have to live through, but it depends on us how we do this.
