21 April 2009 22:55I feel dead on my feet and my head hurts 'cause I drank too much alcohol tonight (but I simply can't resist Roman Ale, it's soooooo yummy), but I had fun. Loads of fun.
Tonight was the world premiere of our fan-film "Star Trek: To The Res-Q". It was awesome. There were more people than any of us had ever expected (I would suspect over hundred) and we had to show the film twice. But first, we, the crew, got to see it alone. I actually wasn't that embarassed by my acting skills. I can be angry if I want to ... at least a little bit. And poor Archer, the demonstrants were so loud you couldn't understand a single word of him. Hilarious.
At the end of the first public screening all the crew got on stage and Mrs Brauer called each and everyone and everyone got his applause and I was on that stage and looked into this room full of people who had all enjoyed that lovely and fantastic (even though "craptastic" in the sound department) movie and I smiled very brightly, I can tell you.
So, although I nearly got frostbite on my feet and suffered from earaches after our shooting days outside, although I spent a somewhat crazy evening with chatting online with Isi and writing our part of the script, although I had to learn how to work a camera in less than five minutes, although I spent more time and energy on this project than anyone could sanely demand for a "Medienschein", I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
We all did our best and I hope everyone who get's to watch the film (it's available on DVD [I got one!!!]) sees that.
